Heavy mechanical combat where robots push opponents out of the ring. Requires torque, power and strategic engineering.

  • 300 × 300 × 300 mm max, 5 kg, zero tolerance
  • Manual control — wired (3 m slack tether) or wireless
  • 4 rounds + tiebreaker, one 3-min technical timeout
  • Ring-out = outright win; else zone points (100 / 50 / 25)

High-speed precision racing where robots follow complex tracks using sensors. Requires intelligence, speed and accuracy.

  • Fully autonomous — any RC during a run = DQ
  • 250 × 250 mm footprint, 250 mm height, 1 kg
  • Arduino / ESP32 / STM32 / custom PCB. No kits, no LEGO
  • 3-min run + 45-s calibration. Score = time + 5 s per touch

KYNEX brings two distinct robotics battles into one arena. Choose your path:

  • ROBO SUMO: Power and strategy on the 7 ft Dohyo. Build a 5 kg machine that can push, shove and dominate the ring — ring-out wins outright, zone points decide the rest.
  • LINE FOLLOWING: Speed, sensing and precision on a confidential 2.5 m track. Engineer a fully autonomous racer that reads the 2 cm line faster and cleaner than anyone else.
